Amelia Ng / CEO
Amelia has more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial services with expertise across trade, financing and advisory solutions.
Amelia has a distinguished career, having held senior positions in frontline, transformation, and strategy roles. Before her current role at Olea, she served as the Global Head of Strategy for Standard Chartered Bank’s Corporate and Investment Bank. In this capacity, she was also a member of the bank’s global management team, where she contributed significantly to shaping the strategic direction of the institution.
Amelia holds an MBA from INSEAD and an undergraduate degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Letitia Chau / Deputy CEO
Letitia has over 30 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. She co-founded Linklogis in 2016 and continues to be their Vice Chairperson and Chief Risk Officer.
Letitia was previously Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of China Resources Bank, Head of Corporate Trust and Loan Agency Services of Asia Pacific for HSBC, Vice President of the Institutional Trust Department at JPMorgan Chase Bank and held various senior positions at Lehman Brothers, Union Bank of Switzerland and Credit Lyonnais.
Letitia holds a Master’s Degree of Applied Finance from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Business Studies.
Charles He / Technology
Charles has more than 25 years implementing IT solutions in business domains spanning across banking and financial services, public service, transportation, education and healthcare.
He is an experienced architect who implemented solutions for complex national projects in Singapore and for high performance computing systems. Prior to joining Olea, he was managing a portfolio of critical IT systems supporting operations in the Ministry of Manpower of Singapore. He was instrumental in developing the ministry’s in-house agile delivery capability.
Charles holds a Master of Computer Science degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Wollongong.
Eugene Chen / Commercial
Eugene is one of the founding members, and has led numerous strategic initiatives at Olea to help grow the business. His current focus areas are on business development and partnerships.
He started his career as a management associate at HSBC and has since worked in multiple areas within corporate and institutional banking across Greater China and Singapore.
Before Olea, he specialised in managing partnerships and investments for Standard Chartered.
Eugene holds an MBA from INSEAD and a bachelor’s degree from University of Oregon.
Brian Lavery / Chief of Staff
Brian is responsible for strategic initiatives and business management.
He spent 10 years at Oliver Wyman where he focused on financial services specifically supporting banking, investor, and fintech clients first in London and later in Singapore. In his last 2 years he worked with a unicorn fintech in SE Asia supporting strategy, fundraising, partnerships, and new product launches.
In 2021 he left consulting to work with early-stage startups in Thailand including heading a blockchain-enabled SaaS startup.
Brian holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge.
Hsien Min Toh / Risk
Hsien Min brings to Olea 15 years in Standard Chartered’s Risk function, where he specialised in predictive risk analytics. He has developed and led teams to develop models to cover obligor and portfolio risk, retail and wholesale, IRB and IFRS9, and run stress testing and portfolio impairment processes. His most recent experience has been in AI/ML modelling for trade finance, including an internal performance risk model for invoice financing.
Hsien Min holds first class honours and a Master’s degree, both from Oxford University, and is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst and GARP Financial Risk Manager.
James Pedley / Legal
James has 15 years of experience as a structured debt and securitisation lawyer. He has worked in London and Hong Kong with Clifford Chance and as a partner at Simmons & Simmons.
He has advised banks, private equity funds and non-bank financial institutions in structuring and establishing funding platforms, including asset-backed commercial paper conduits, structured corporate debt platforms and receivables, trade finance and supply chain platforms.
James is dual-qualified as a solicitor in England and Hong Kong and is an executive committee member of the Asia-Pacific Structured Finance Association. He graduated from Durham University with a Bachelor of Law (LLB).
Phoebe Yeh / Finance
Phoebe has 21 years of experience in banking, private equity and entrepreneurship across Australia, Europe, Africa, United States and the Greater China region. She was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, an investment professional at Greater Pacific Capital and a Senior Vice President of the Virgin Group. Phoebe founded Jett International Ltd, a real estate investment company based in Hong Kong and co-founded Charm, a chain of fast-casual restaurants in Mainland China.
Phoebe holds Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Accounting double major) and Bachelor of Laws (first-class honours) degrees from the University of Sydney as well as an MBA from INSEAD.
Savady Yem / Olea Global Markets
Savady has spent 30 years in financial markets with Standard Chartered, Credit Suisse and JPMorgan across Europe and Asia, with expertise in fixed income structuring and distribution.
Before joining Olea, his latest roles at Standard Chartered included Global Head of Private Side Sales and Global Head of Credit Sales for Strategic Investors. These investors included insurance companies, pension funds and alternative asset managers.
Savady received his MBA degree from University of Ottawa and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from ESLSCA Paris.
Timothy Chan / Digital Solutions & Implementation
Timothy overseas Olea’s overall operations and design of digital solutions.
He has over 10 years of experience in trade and supply chain finance execution, operations, and technology advisory. In his previous role as Head of Trade Finance Transformation at OCBC, he collaborated with Fintechs, governments, and banks to deliver technology solutions including blockchain, Internet of Things, and AI/ machine learning technologies.
Timothy holds a Master’s degree in Financial Technology from the Singapore Management University.
Uthamaraj Kuppuswamy / Data
Utham joined Standard Chartered 13 years ago as a contract data analyst where he was most recently the Global Head of Data Strategy for Risk. In the past four years, he has created effective data solutions to deliver income value of over US$50 million, making near-real-time internal and external risk information available for risk managers, and built a 50-strong entrepreneurial data team.
Utham holds a Master’s degree in computing from the National University of Singapore.
